Sallie Fay Thomas Dykes, a resident of Louisville, Alabama passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at her residence. She was 79 years old. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Louisville, Alabama with Rev. Curtis Rich officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Clayton directing. A visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church. Fay was born October 31, 1944, to the late William C. and Viola Riley Thomas. She was a laundry clerk for Ventress Correctional Facility for many years and in her spare time she enjoyed putting together puzzles, doing crossword puzzles, she was a very good cook and loved canning vegetables. Fay was a long-time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Joshua Drake Dykes; brother, AJ Thomas; two sisters, Carolyn Thomas and Catherine Thomas. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Earl Dykes Sr.; two sons, Earl Dykes Jr. (Charlene) of Louisville and Adam Dykes (Stacy) of Clio; four grandchildren, Kinnen Perry (Raeleigh), Jed Dykes, Bristol Dykes, and Austin Dykes; one great-grandchild, Oakland Perry. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Jason Green, Jason Pickett, Shad McClaney, Jamie Dykes, Clint Parmer, Josh Barbaree, Jeremy Barbaree, and Wesley Green.
