Podiatrist joins staff of Rural Health Medical Program, Inc.

Tomeko McPhillips, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, has joined the staff of Rural Health Medical Program, Inc.

McPhillips will offer services in diabetic foot care, heel pain, ingrown nails and removal of corns/callouses, blisters, bunions and heel spurs.

A Camden native, McPhillips attended Wilcox Central High School and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. She obtained her doctorate in podiatry from New York College of Podiatric Medicine/DPM.

McPhillips has been practicing in the field of podiatry for 23 years. She and her husband Dr. Glenn McPhillips owned Family Footcare, LLC for 21 years.

She is a member of the Alabama Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association and Selma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She has three children. Her favorite quote is, “If you pray, why worry; if you worry, why pray?”
