(The Center Square) — New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill is refusing the U.S. Department of Justice’s demand to turn over a list of more than 6,600 non-citizens who were erroneously registered to vote in the state. Â
(The Center Square) – Following news that about 6,600 noncitizens were added to New Jersey’s voter rolls from June 2023 to June 2024 and 400 of them voted, election integrity advocates criticized the state’s negligence while noting the election safeguards such as proof of citizenship and identity that must be put in place by states.
