Selma man missing since Feb. 8 found deceased

Ulysses Hardy Anderson, a man from Selma who went missing on Feb. 8, has been confirmed deceased after being found in the Alabama River. 

According to WSFA, Anderson was found by fishermen in the river near a property off of Dallas County Road 407 in the Minter community. He had last been seen near County Road 17 before he went missing. 

He was a volunteer in the Selma and Demopolis fire departments. A balloon release has been scheduled for today at 1 p.m. at Elbethel Missionary Baptist Church in Valley Grande.

Anderson's death has not been determined as his body has been sent to a forensics lab for an autopsy.
