Selma native initiated into Omicron Delta Kappa

Sydney Brooks, who is a native of Selma, has been initiated into the Huntingdon College Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, in Lexington, VA. 

She was among 486 new initiates from 24 universities in May, said a press release from Omicron Delta Kappa. 

The press release added that initiates must be sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate/professional students in the top 35% of their class. They also must demonstrate leadership and "embrace the ODK ideals." 

"Fewer than five percent of students on a campus are invited to join each year," said the press release.
