Week 9 of the 2025 football season is in the books. Here are the scores for Black Belt area teams:
Chambers Academy 46, Morgan Academy 6
Morgan returned a kickoff for a touchdown, but were already down 21-0 and got no closer. The second half was scoreless after Chambers took their foot off the gas.
Sipsey Valley 62, Montevallo 28
Sipsey scored three touchdowns in each of the first two quarters and coasted past the Bulldogs.
Thorsby 46, Greensboro 12
Lucas Jackson cracked Thorsby onto the scoreboard first with a 10-yard touchdown run. Kalix Snith tied the game at 6-6 with a 10-yard run of his own for the halftime score. Thorsby then erupted for 24 fourth-quarter points on the way to the rout.
Tallassee 13, St. James 7
The Tigers already led 13-0 when Trojans quarterback Mason Craig hit Grant Phillips with a 36-yard touchdown pass to create the final margin.
Wilcox Academy 40, Lowndes Academy 12 (Thurs.)
Wilcox opened the scoring with a pick-six interception and added a passing touchdown and a two-point conversion to lead 15-0 after the first quarter. Lowndes scored on a 43-yard passing touchdown from Tyler Hollingshead to Braydn Brassell after a weather delay, but Wilcox returned a punt for a touchdown to take a 23-7 lead on the way to the win.
