The Keith High School Bears' basketball season came to an end on Wednesday at the Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery.
Keith lost their bid to defending 1A champs the Autaugaville Eagles 63-51 in the AHSAA Regional Finals. Autaugaville came out on a quick 10-0 run against the Bears and never looked back. The Bears could never close the gap.
Head Coach Marcus Turner said he is proud of his guys and the way they competed. "They left it all on the floor."
Keith was led by senior Anthony Lumpkin Jr., who finished with 18 points. Lumpkin and sophomore Tommy Tisdale III were named on the AHSAA Regional Basketball All-Tournament team. Autaugaville was led by J. Nixon who finished with 24 points. Nixon was also named the tournament MVP.Â
