North Texas will be in the national spotlight on Thursday night for its game against Florida Atlantic, and that includes hosting SportsCenter.

ESPN will have a crew on hand for a half-hour broadcast beginning at 4 p.m. near DATCU Stadium. The exact location of filming hasn’t been announced.

The Mean Green’s game against the Owls will kick off at 6:30 p.m.

Post-game at DATCU

North Texas will host SportsCenter ahead of its game against Florida Atlantic on Thursday.

UNT is 5-2 on the season and moved to 3-0 in American Conference play last week with a win over Navy.

ESPN has broadcast SportsCenter from campus venues for midweek games throughout the season.

“It’s great. Matt Barrie does a good job when he gets on campus of involving people and brings a lot of energy,” UNT coach Neal Brown said of the longtime ESPN host. “This has been a good opportunity for the American Conference on a midweek game to get more eyes.

“We need a good turnout from our students and our fans. Ask off work a little early, tailgate and come by the SportsCenter set. It will be a lot of fun.”
