The TNA Heat Basketball Club competed in the D1 Spects Montgomery City Fest this weekend.
The TNA Heat teams consist of a 7th/8th grade boys team coached by Randy Fincher, 8th/9th grade boys team coached by Marlon Smith, 9th/10th grade boys team coached by Marcus Hannah, a high school boys team coached by Randy Fincher, and a middle school and high girls team coached by Letti Hasberry. All of the Heat teams are local with players from each of the schools.
Coach Fincher and his high school group finished second in the silver championship this weekend. Coach Hasberry’s high school group finished second in the gold championship and the middle school group finished first in the silver championship.
This exposure tournament gave the local athletes on these teams a chance to play against tough competition and to have a chance to play in front of college coaches.
