The Wallace Community College Patriots women and men basketball teams competed against the Enterprise Community College Boll weevils on Thursday night in Selma in a conference game.Â

The contest between the Lady Patriots and the Lady Boll weevils was a nail biter. The Lady Boll weevils led the entire game until the fourth quarter. The Lady Patriots dug deep to come out victorious, to secure the 53-52 conference win over the Lady Bollweevils. T. Allen led the Lady Patriots in scoring with 23 points. S. Allison finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds. K. Pelham led the Lady Bollweevils in scoring with 13 points.Â

The Lady Patriots head coach, Yulonda Randolph, stated, "I'm proud of the players for their performance tonight. They showed grit and determination to secure this big conference win. While there are always areas where we can improve, tonight, we'll celebrate this victory. Tomorrow, we'll get back to work and begin preparing for our next game on the road."

The men's game was full of competitiveness and intensity, but the Patriots came up short as the Boll weevils took the 84-69 victory. D. Salisbery led the Patriots in scoring with 25 points. K. Jones and M. Perkins both finished with 11 points a piece. N. Gainer led the Boll weevils in scoring with 21 points.Â
