Selma could see snow Tuesday; Schools announce closures

Winter weather could reach Selma Tuesday.

Selma may see snow Tuesday as a cold front pushes through much of the country, including dipping into the Southeast.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Dallas County from midnight tonight to noon on Tuesday.

Schools across Selma and Dallas County are closed on Tuesday due to the threat of winter weather.

The strong cold front is expected to transition from rain to snow overnight. Snow accumulations of one half inch to 3 inches are anticipated through Tuesday morning.

Impacts to travel appear likely near and north of a line from Selma to Prattville to Valley, the NWS advised.
