First Cahawba Bank appointed Selma native Caleb Morris to its Board of Directors, according to a joint announcement from Chairman Catesby Jones and President and CEO Richard Walters.

Morris, who was born and raised in Selma, brings deep community ties and a broad range of professional experience – including banking – to the board.

Morris is a 1998 graduate of Auburn University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in public administration. Following graduation, Morris returned to Selma to join the family-owned Morris Lumber Company.

In 2004, Morris began his career in banking with AmSouth Bank. He later served with SouthTrust and then First Cahawba Bank, where he worked from 2007 to 2014. In 2014, he transitioned into the agricultural industry and joined Nutrien Ag Solutions, where he is currently employed.

Morris is the son of Tommy and Dawn Morris and the husband of the former Sarah Camille Carter. The couple has two children, Thomas, 24, and Andrew, 22.

Morris said he is excited and honored to join the First Cahawba Bank Board of Directors and looks forward to contributing to the bank’s continued growth and success in the community.
