Robert Armstrong remembers his grandma and her cookies.

“My Grandma was a small lady, super sweet. She grew up during the depression and my Grandpa was a WWII pilot. She helped me start the company,” Armstrong said. “She used to make these delicious cookies, and we would fight over them. And like my Grandma did, we use real butter and real eggs in our cookies. There are no preservatives and everything is natural.”

Armstrong offers three flavors: Butterscotch Oatmeal, Chocolate Chip with Pecans and Sea Salt Caramel. The 32-year-old used to sell phone systems before the idea popped into his head one day. Now his cookies are sold in over 1,000 stores in the South East, and some in New York and Canada.

“We are getting to where we want to be. Our cookies are in Walmart, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Fairway Market, Piggly Wiggly and others,” Armstrong said.

The G Mommas Cookie Co. produces over 7,000 cookie bags in one day. Armstrong named his business, The Selma Good Co.

Our mission behind the cookies is to be a positive force in the Selma community. That’s why we named the business Selma Good Co. We want good things to come out of Selma.”

Next time you are in the mood for a sweet bite, grab a bag of G Momma cookies, you won’t regret the experience.
