KFC Selma owner announces teachers to receive $12K in gift cards

The owner of KFC in Selma, Mark Woodson, raised $12,000 from residents and friends around the country to give gift cards for teachers in Selma and Dallas County as they go back to school.

Starting as a Facebook post from the KFC asking for teachers to be nominated to get $500 they donated for gift cards, and it blossomed to a nationwide fundraiser for local teachers.

Woodson Monday night chose the teachers who are getting $100 gift cards for classroom supplies and announced their names on Facebook.
