The Coffee Shoppe in Selma will be moving its shop on Broad Street to the Reflections shop on Water Avenue starting Jan. 1.
Owner Jackie Smith opened the original Coffee Shoppe 14 years ago and is calling this merger of the shops a new chapter and "strategic consolidation" that will allow both brands to "combine strengths, enhance customer experience, and continue providing the warm, community-centered atmosphere that guests have cherished for over a decade."
“The Coffee Shoppe has been a cornerstone of community, conversation, and comfort for 14 years," Smith said in a statement. "Merging with Reflections Coffee Shoppe isn’t a goodbye — it’s a continuation of everything we’ve built, now with expanded offerings, improved service capacity, and an energized vision for the future.”
The Coffee Shoppe will officially close its doors on Dec. 29 with a special “14 Years of Thanks” Customer Appreciation Day. A "Grand Merge Celebration" will be held on Jan. 5 with live music, drink specials, trivia and a ribbon cutting.
Reflections Coffee Shoppe is located at 1014 Water Avenue in Selma.
