Earth Day Recycling Festival in Selma planned for April 27

Selma's Office of Planning and Development will kickoff its Earth Day Recycling Festival on April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

The event is an educational program as a result of grant funding from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management or ADEM. 

"Thanks to over 13 community partners from state and federal agencies, waste management, non-profit, service organizations youth will receive onsite environmental education, demonstrations, hands on activities, and or course FUN," said the City of Selma in an announcement on Facebook. 

The event will take place on Valley Creek/Bloch Park on 108 Dallas Avenue.
