Distinguished Young Women scholarship competition for Dallas County will be held on Saturday at Selma High School.
The competition in Selma High School's auditorium will start at 2 p.m. when the 10 teens from five different schools will show off talents in hopes of advancing to the state DYW title competition in January.
The Distinguished Young Women of Alabama program is the state's branch of a national scholarship program for high school senior girls. Participants compete at Frazer Church in Montgomery in scholastic, fitness, interview, talent and self-expression categories.
Competitors this year are Alia Liles, Anna Clay Fuller, Ashlynn Griffin, Brittany Robinson, Jolie Jackson, Leila Moore, Lillian Francis Edwards, Markia Evans, Martha Ann Beers and Raedyn Pope.
