Kristan Moore signs for UNA

Selma High football player Kristan Moore, right, with his father Edward Moore, has committed to play at the University of North Alabama.

After weighing at least eight other offers, Selma High football player Kristan Moore has committed to play at the University of North Alabama.

Selma City Schools’ Athletics said Moore is a “proven leader, a relentless worker, and a compassionate young man who shines both on the field and in the weight room.”

Athletics said he stands out among his peers for his “character, tenacity, and heart. On the field and court, he’s a force to be reckoned with, but in the hallways, he’s known as a respectful, humble young man with the biggest heart.”

Moore chose UNA after receiving offers from Jackson State University, Liberty University, Alabama State, University of West Alabama, University of Tennessee at Martin, Samford University and Tuskegee.

“I just want to thank my family, coaches, and friends for supporting me on this journey,” he said. “I’m really excited for the upcoming season!”
