Eshwaa Godfrey Alternate Teacher of the Year

Selma High School teacher Eshwaa Godfrey was named Alternate Teacher of the Year by the Alabama State Board of Education. 

Godfrey teaches health at the school. He was among four finalists for the Teacher of the Year Award, which was given to Elizabeth Eubanks Von Hofe of Spanish Fort Elementary School, according to media reports. 

"This honor reflects the excellence, passion, and dedication happening inside Selma City Schools every single day," said an announcement from the City of Selma. "We are proud to celebrate an educator who is making a lasting impact on students and helping shape the future of our city."
