The 43rd Annual Kathryn Tucker Windham Tale Tellin' Festival is set for Oct. 14 at Arts Revive.

The annual event has story tellers and musicians visit local schools to share their stories and music before performing at Arts Revive. It is named after famed writer, Kathryn Tucker Windham, who passed away in 2011.

The Oct. 14 festival's featured speaker will be Andy Irwin.

In addition to being a musician himself, Irwin was featured 14 times as "Teller in Residence" at International Storytelling Center, as well as guest artist at La Guardia High School of Art, Music, and Performing Arts in New York among other things.

Bluegrass rock band Rolling in the Hay will provide music. Their music has been described as ”High Octane Groove Grass/Americana, funny songs about life in general and killer pickin'; and grinnin,” according to a press release.

Catering will be provided by Sandbar.

A page for the festival can be seen on Facebook. Tickets can be purchased for $25 each. Tickets can also be bought at the door at Gallery 905.

It is requested from attendants to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
