Danny Bonaduce recently shared a rare update on two of his costars from The Partridge Family, Susan Dey and Shirley Jones, more than 50 years after the beloved ’70s sitcom ended.

During the May 28 episode of the Pop Culture Retro podcast, Bonaduce, 66 — who portrayed the redheaded middle brother, Danny Partridge — opened up about where he stands with the two actresses today. Jones, 92, played his onscreen mom, Shirley Partridge, while Dey, 73, played his sister, Laurie Partridge.

Of Jones, Bonaduce explained, “I see her rarely. But she’s 92 right now, and you know, she still looks good, but I haven’t spoken to her in a while.” He added, “I spoke to her son. I talk to Shaun Cassidy relatively often. And apparently, she’s doing just great. But she’s fully retired.”

Additionally, Bonaduce offered an update on Dey. When asked if the actress still “wants nothing to do with” reunions for The Partridge Family, he clarified, “I thought it was like a real bad thing of bad memories. It’s just not her thing. She just doesn’t want to be famous.”

Bonaduce continued, “She has a normal job in upstate New York. But I always thought. ‘You want nothing to do with it? Why? It was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. Why?’ But it’s just not her thing. Like, I really liked being famous.”

After The Partridge Family ended, Dey played Grace Van Owen in L.A. Law, even earning a Golden Globe in 1988 for the role. Her last acting credit was in two episodes of Third Watch in 2004.

Bonaduce said he wasn’t sure what Dey does for a living after stepping back from the spotlight. However, he shared that she has a “regular job with an office,” adding, “but I don’t know if she still does it. She’s got to be 73 or four.”

The Partridge Family aired for four seasons from 1970 to 1974 on ABC.
