Uh oh! A The Price Is Right contestant played a perfect game, but the ending turned into a bit of a disaster.

Kimberly Collins, from Terre Haute, Indiana, won the first item up for bid on March 31. She bid $725, which was not the highest, on six DeWalt power tools, a flashlight, and accessories. The actual retail price was $1,099.

She then came to the stage to play Punch-A-Bunch. The way the game works is that a contestant has to guess whether the price of the item shown is higher or lower than what is displayed.

If they get four right, they get to punch four circles on the board. Under each circle is a dollar amount from $100 to $25,000. There are more of the lower amounts and fewer of the higher ones, with only one chance to win $25,000.

The first item was an ultrasonic glasses cleaner, priced at $70. Collins said it was lower. She earned a punch since it was $43.

A handheld GPS with pre-loaded maps was the next item. It was priced at $95. She said it was higher, and since it was $200, Collins earned her second punch.

A hairdryer was priced at $65. Collins said it was higher. The game show contestant earned her third punch since it was $89.

The final item was a mini-blender, priced at $55. She said it was lower. It was $30, so she earned her fourth punch.

Collins chose a punch in the first, second, third, and fourth rows. Host Drew Carey started in the third row. He opened the envelope to reveal $1,000.

She chose to throw that amount away and keep going. Carey then picked the top row card. That one had $500 on it. Collins chose to keep going.

Carey chose the third one in the second row, which had $250 on it. Collins said to go one more time.

The fourth envelope had $500 in it. Even though she walked away with some money, The Price Is Right contestant could have had $1,000.

Collins spun a 90 on the Showcase wheel, but did not proceed to the Showcase as her opponent, Tomeka, spun 1.00.

The Price Is Right, weekdays, 11a/10c, CBS, stream next day on Paramount+
