Civil rights museum being planned for GWC Homes
- Updated
- 0
As part of a strategy plan to redevelop GWC Homes in Selma, organizers are including a civil rights museum that would feature an apartment unit that was home to foot soldier Alice West. She was best known for housing and feeding civil rights legends, including Martin Luther King Jr., as well as making a mark on history herself. The museum would be built if Selma Housing Authority wins a $50 million HUD grant. Todd and Cindy talk about the plans in this segment of the Black Belt News Network.
