The City of Selma hosted a candlelight vigil on Sunday night at Riverfront Park to honor fallen officer Marquis Moorer and others who lost their lives to violence this year.

Dozens came to the vigil to say prayers for Moorer, who was killed in an ambush at his apartment on July 27. The suspect is a former Selma High School football star. Read more about that here.

For more on the vigil, read the print edition of the Selma Sun on Thursday.
