Little Amal puppet wows Selma in walk through downtown

Little Amal, a 12-foot-tall puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee girl, visited Selma on Friday as part of a national tour.
The puppet that is part of a creative project called The Walk Productions caused quite a stir in downtown Selma as she walked over the Edmund Pettus Bridge, down Broad Street and along Selma Avenue to Brown's Chapel.
Crowds gathered to follow her and take photos, some going live on social media. Mothers held up their babies to be hugged by the giant puppet with flowing hair pulled back from her face.
