Do not cross II

Two people from outside of Alabama were involved in a car wreck in Dallas County on Saturday morning where one was killed and another was injured. 

According to a statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Jason H. Tyree, 52, of Hurst, TX was a passenger in a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado that left the road and struck a guardrail. 

Tyree was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, Matthew D. Bates, 39, of Cathedral City, CA, was injured and transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.

The wreck took place on U.S. 80 near the 93 mile marker approximately eight miles east of Selma.
