The Third Annual Youth Mental Health Summit was held in Moundville on Saturday, Aug. 16 with the theme "Municipal Minds". 

On social media Black Belt Community Foundation (BBCF) described the event as a family-friendly occasion that focused on "creating open dialogue around mental health, engagement, and leadership."

Healing Steps Movement, Inc. was the winner of its Community Awards grants program. 

"We are honored to have played a part in this vital event through our annual Community Grants awards program," said a post on social media by BBCF. "In the words of event organizer LaWanda VanHorn-Rossell, 'We are incredibly grateful to the Black Belt Community Foundation and every partner who helped bring this to life.'"
