Friendship Mission, Inc. in Montgomery recently benefitted from the Friends of Friendship Holiday Drive in which the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) donated needed items to serve the homeless.Â
Friendship Mission is reportedly the only emergency homeless shelter in the Montgomery area.Â
A post on social media stated that the shelter is used by more than 380 men, women and children each year, with the soup kitchen serving more than 62,000 meals annually.Â
Donated supplies were delivered by ACCS Communications team members.Â
"Thank you so much to the ACCS and its employees. This has already been a wonderful holiday season for us," said Friendship Mission Executive Director Tara Davis. "Donations like these help us operate and help those who are hungry and homeless in the River Region."
