The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) is encouraging Selma residents to take part in its Move Alabama activity challenge beginning on March 1.Â
"Move Alabama is a collaborative effort between SNAP-Ed and EFNEP at Auburn University and encourages individuals to embrace an active lifestyle with family, friends, and neighbors," said a press release from organizers.Â
Participants may visit the Dallas County Extension Office at 429 Lauderdale Street to pick up a printed challenge flyer, which will detail exercise challenges to integrate. The flyer may also be downloaded at Move Alabama's Facebook page.Â
There are also local pop-up challenges for participants.Â
"These challenges are thoughtfully designed to raise awareness about specific areas within our communities where increased physical activity is not only beneficial but also attainable for all," said the press release.
