Alabama Cold Case Advocacy (ACCA) has launched a new program to bring renewed attention to missing person cases.
According to an announcement from ACCA Operation Safe Return seeks to feature verified missing people on digital and static billboards throughout the state.
A fundraising effort will be kicked off to put up the first wave of billboards.
“As families continue to wait for answers, visibility can make an immediate difference,” said ACCA President Keri New. “Every image placed on a board is a chance that the right person will see that face, remember something, and choose to speak up. Hope grows when people stay alert and connected to the cases in their communities.”
It is hoped that the first round of billboards will begin in January 2026.
