An Aliceville police officer is facing multiple charges related to child exploitation, said a statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) issued on Monday. 

According to the statement ALEA's State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) arrested Caminion Gary, 24, of Aliceville, at the request of the Pickens County District Attorney’s Office. 

He has been charged with: Electronic Solicitation of a Child, First-Degree Sexual Abuse, Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material, Transmitting Obscene Material, School Employee Having Sexual Contact with a Student and Enticing a Child to Enter Vehicle.

He was booked into the Pickens County Jail without bond.

Gary was one of several others to be arrested in connection to a child exploitation investigation that involved several employees of Aliceville High School and Aliceville Elementary School. 

According to WVTM 13 these are: 

  • Lakethia Wilkins, a fourth grade teacher
  • Antavious Belgrave, an employee with the Pickens County Board of Education
  • Winston Bishop, who is reportedly on the Aliceville High School website but his position was not listed
  • Roderick Granger, a math teacher at Aliceville High School
