Selma Dallas County Library Sign

Selma-Dallas County Public Library will host a book reading and signing event for Michele Waters, the author of "American Unsung Hero" about her grandfather who was an activist in the Civil Rights Movement.

"This moving story honors the life and legacy of an American Unsung Hero, Waters' own grandfather, David Hall, whose courage and contributions are deeply rooted in Selma’s historic soil," said a recent press release.

"Through heartfelt storytelling, Waters preserves an important piece of local and national history- ensuring that future generations understand the sacrifices and strength that helped shape the Civil Rights Movement."

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Selma-Dallas County Public Library is located at 1103 Selma Avenue.
