The apparel designs of a Montgomery native and University of Alabama (UA) student was featured in a charity fashion show by the school.Â
Fashion For Life featured eight students who are senior designers from the College of Human Environmental Sciences, one of which is Shakira Lewis of Montgomery.
The event took place at the Bama Theatre in downtown Tuscaloosa.Â
"Fashion for Life is an annual culminating experience for senior apparel design students," said a press release from UA. "Student designers use knowledge and skills gained from their years of study to meet the challenge of this experiential learning event."
"The collection development process and production of the show itself mirror what students will encounter once they enter the apparel industry after graduation."
