The Black Belt Community Foundation (BBCF) is celebrating Autism Acceptance Month during April with a series of activities.

A post on social media by BBCF said that teachers and students celebrated World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. Participants made an "Autism Awareness" poster and wore blue for the occasion.

For the rest of the month BBCF will be organizing educational activities about the condition.

"These activities include sensory-friendly play sessions, interactive storytelling featuring characters with autism, and art projects that encourage self-expression and empathy," said the post. "By participating, children not only have fun but also learn the importance of embracing diversity and supporting their peers about autism."
