The Black Belt Community Foundation (BBCF) Head Start program will hold a free giveaway of items from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Craig Air Field on Friday, Aug. 20.Â
Items will include classroom furniture, as well as books, storage units, refrigerators, chairs, desks, air conditioners, book shelves, fans and others.
BBCF asks people interested in receiving items to follow directions to the field by turning off Highway 80 from east or west to Craig Air Field, which is 5th Street, and then turn right onto Avenue C, follow it to onto 1st before turning left. This leads to the parking lot where the items for the giveaway will be. Â
The giveaway will be held on a first come, first serve basis. It is advised to bring a truck or have someone assist with loading items.Â
