Bush Hog gives $10K to breast cancer screening nonprofit that is growing statewide

Bush Hog President Jerry Worthington presents a check to Joy and Dickie Blondheim, co-founders of Joy to Life in Montgomery, in a ceremony at Bush Hog headquarters in Selma.

Bush Hog awarded a $10,000 check to the Joy to Life nonprofit that raises money for breast cancer screenings throughout Alabama in a ceremony last week.

Bush Hog President Jerry Worthington said this is the sixth year the company has been able to give $10,000 to the nonprofit during Breast Cancer Awareness Month and was even able to make it happen during COVID.

Bush Hog raises money through a raffle for a pink zero-turn lawn mower that is displayed at farm shows throughout the year. However, with COVID, the farm shows were canceled but he said they were still able to raise needed funds through social media and advertising it on their website.
