Sign for Canebrake Players theater group in Demopolis that meets and performs at the old school on South Main Avenue.

The Canebrake Players in Demopolis will show "The Play That Goes Wrong" on July 24-27. 

"The Cornley Drama Society attempts to stage a 1920s murder mystery," said a description of the play on social media. "Everything goes comically wrong on opening night—props go missing, doors lock, the set collapses, and actors inadvertently sabotage each other in a frantic battle to finish the show. Think Monty Python meets Sherlock Holmes."
