Established in 1917, Chris' Hotdogs is reportedly a spot where numerous famous figures visited, namely F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife, Zelda. Hank Williams allegedly wrote "Hey Good Lookin'" at the restaurant.Â
President Franklin D. Roosevelt is said to have requested food from Chris' Hotdogs when his train passed through Montgomery. Martin Luther King Jr. was also a patron.Â
It is located on Dexter Avenue near the Alabama State Capitol and Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church.Â
