Construction has begun on U.S. 231, said recent announcement from the Troy Police Department, with a schedule that will vary over the coming days. 

The department on social media said that the schedule will vary depending on the phases but that the initial work will take place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday through Friday, with all work to be completed at 6 a.m. on Fridays. 

The department advises that drivers use caution, especially near Mikata where the construction began. 

An off-duty officer will be station at the area for safety.
