The Delta Regional Authority is now accepting applications for a grant program that aims to assist the workforce in the Mississippi River Delta and the Black Belt region of Alabama.
The Delta Workforce Grant Program uses federal resources to help communities that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and economic instability, which have caused numerous layoffs and closures since earlier this year.
Eligible applicants for the program include state/local governments, other public bodies, non-profit entities, and local development districts.
Applications can be submitted online, with the deadline being at 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 12.
