The Demopolis Police Department will host a Children's Police Academy starting on June 18 and ending on June 21.

The program is open to children of ages five to twelve. Classes begin at 8 a.m. and are held until 12 p.m.

There will be in-town field trips to the Demopolis Public Library, The Demopolis Fire Department, and the playground at the city landing.

Presentations will have "Eddie the Eagle Gun Safety" teach kids about what to do if they find a gun, as well as anti-bullying to educate them about what bullying is and who to talk to about it.

A graduation ceremony will be held on the last day of the academy.

The Demopolis Police Department is located at 301 E. Washington Street.
