Newly named Superintendent Adam Pugh has signed his contract with Demopolis City Schools (DCS), making him official with the district.Â
Pugh was named on Feb. 10 during a meeting of the board of education. His educational background spans 30 years, including being a teacher, coach, principal and superintendent for schools in his home state of Mississippi.Â
An announcement from DCS said that he took the time to meet with faculty and staff at each school before signing the contract at a called meeting.Â
His start date is March 3.Â
