A ribbon cutting was held for the historic Chris's Famous Hotdogs building after it underwent renovations.

Its history dates back to 1917 and was called Montgomery's oldest restaurant by an announcement from the Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce.

"For generations, it has welcomed everyone, from young and old to locals and visitors alike, creating a space where community comes together over a great meal," said the announcement.

The restaurant is located at 138 Dexter Avenue.
