The Dallas County Department of Human Resources Jobs Task Force Committee will host a job fair May 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Selma Convention Center.
“There are so many jobs available,” Wayne Vardaman, Executive Director for the Selma & Dallas County Economic Development Authority, said. “This job fair coming up is just another way of providing these opportunities for the people of Selma and Dallas County.”
Some of the employers at the job fair will be G D Copper, Selma Career Center, AIDT, Vaughn Regional Medical Center, Dallas County District Attorney Office, Selma City Fire Department, Kelly Services, AT&T Direct TV, Alabama Power, Surge Staffing, WCCS Adult Ed Program, Montgomery Job Corp, Walmart, Alabama State Employee Credit Union, US Marines, Bush Hog, Montgomery Job Corp, Walmart, Regions Bank, Social Security Administration, Taylor Internal Medicine, Light House Rehab and Healthcare, A to Z Staffing, Dallas County Commission, Dynamic Staffing and Cozbee Wireless.
The Selma & Dallas County Economic Development Authority attracts new industrial opportunities, assists in expanding existing businesses and enhances work force development.
“Working together, we create economic growth, diversify the tax base and enhance employment,” Vardaman said. “The EDA works with the people to better life in Selma and Dallas County for everyone.”
