Holloway Vason

An update from Central Alabama CrimeStoppers says that a 14-year-old suspect has been arrested by Montgomery police in connection to the murder of Vason in June. 

On June 24 police responded to a shooting 3400 block of Woodley Road where Vason was found with a gunshot wound and transported to a hospital for treatment. He died of the injury on June 27. 

Vason was 67-years-old. 

A picture of the then-unidentified suspect was released and a $2,500 cash reward was offered for information that later increased to $7,500. A tipster recently contacted CrimeStoppers, leading to the arrest. 

The juvenile suspect is being held at the Montgomery County Youth Detention Facility without bond.
