Ketanji Brown Jackson has been sworn in to the Supreme Court, becoming the first Black woman in history to achieve the position.Â
According to the Associated Press she is the 116th justice, replacing Stephen Breyer, who retired today.Â
Breyer administered one of the two oaths to be recited by those being sworn in, along with Chief Justice John Roberts.Â
Jackson is now one of four women on the court, with Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Amy Coney Barrett.Â
