Catherine Coleman Flowers

Writer and environmental activist Catherine Coleman Flowers has been included in a list of 100 most influential people of 2023 by Time magazine. 

According to the Montgomery Advertiser, Flowers has been included alongside comedian and actor Nathan Fielder, Disney CEO Bob Iger and actress Natasha Lyonne. 

Flowers has written and spoken extensively on environmental subjects, especially on sanitation issues in Lowndes County. 

She is the author of "Waste: One Woman’s Fight Against America’s Dirty Secret" which explores environmentalism in rural America.
