Marion Cemetery has received a $4,000 community grant from Perry County Commissioner Anthony "Tony" Long.

The grant comes from the commissioner's discretionary funds for upkeep and maintenance by the Marion Cemetery Association.

Former Marion Police Chief John Anderson serves as the head of the association, which is a 501(c) organization.

Perry County Commission Chairman Albert Turner Jr. announced on his social media that the check will be presented at a meeting on March 26 at 6 p.m. at the Albert Turner Sr. Courthouse Annex.
