Water professional training

The City of Marion is partnering with the Institute of Water and Health at Georgia Southern University and the Alabama Water Institute at the University of Alabama

The partnership provides a "hands-on" internship program and a peer-to-peer mentorship for current water operators and managers, said a post on social media by the City of Marion.

Interns participating in the training took a field trip to Eastman, GA on June 26 to interact with and learn from directly with professionals.

The project was funded by Alabama Power Company and the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation.
