A free Mental Health First Aid course by Black Women's Mental Health Institute in Union Springs is slated for April 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The course is aimed at educating the public about how to identify mental health issues and substance use disorders in others. It is co-hosted by the Black Belt Community Foundation. 

The event will be held at Richard B. Stone Community Center on 21578 U.S. Highway 82.
